The experiences and patterns of use of psychoactive substance use amongst the homeless population
Homelessness is a global problem; with complex links between social and health problems.
There is limited UK evidence on the patterns of psychoactive substances (PS) in the homeless population, and there is even more limited in the literature on the experience of PS amongst homeless people.
We propose to conduct semi-structured interviews with adults who are homeless about their experiences of using PS. Additionally, participants will complete the World Health Organization Alcohol Smoking Substance Involvement Screening Test.
The study aims to develop a broader understanding of the experiences, and the patterns of use, amongst homeless people who use PS.
