Establishing an East Midlands Young Onset Dementia Clinical, Imaging and Biomarker Cohort Registry
Description
Early onset dementia poses a significant challenge in relation to diagnosis and management. Via a unique deep clinical phenotyping data, 3T MRI, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood banking from over 200 individuals with early onset Alzheimer’s disease this research will form the foundations of a prospective registry which captures all clinical, laboratory and radiological parameters across the East Midlands that may represent early predictors or indicators of rapid cognitive decline. Networking with the Young-Onset Dementia teams from Nottingham. Leicester, Derby and Lincoln will enable creating a platform to perform observational, longitudinal research on this population in East Midlands.
