Neurobiological signatures of mental health and addictive disorders: A Big Data imaging approach

Description

The need for neuroimaging biomarkers of mental health disorders has been well described. The collection of large scale epidemiological-imaging datasets opens new possibilities for data-driven discovery, replication and validation of diagnosis and prognosis across both clinical and non-clinical datasets. Candidate biomarkers which may be investigated include cortical thickness, functional connectivity, and structural connectivity, whereas associations with molecular imaging features (gene expression maps) allow multi-modal and multi-scale explorations. Depending upon the interest of the candidate this project can focus on particular disorders in mental health or take a dimensional approach, such as the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC).
