The Epidemiology of Eating Disorders in Adulthood: A Secondary Analysis of the 2023 Adult Psychiatric Morbidity Survey
Description
This project would be suitable for a candidate with a keen interest in psychiatric epidemiology, survey analysis, and measurement, and will involve:
• Analysis of eating disorder data obtained from the community sample, including the demographic characteristics of participants reporting eating disorder related symptoms, and their comorbid health conditions.
• Analysis of multiple measures of eating disorder symptoms in a clinical population of adults referred to specialist eating disorder services, compared with specialist NHS clinician assessment.
• Determination of the prevalence of possible eating disorders in adults living in England, as well as sub-classification according to symptom severity and impact on daily functioning
