Investigating mechanisms of action, and outcomes, of creative arts psychotherapy intervention for adolescents with mental health difficulties

Project Description

This mixed method project will study creative arts psychotherapies (art, drama, music therapies) interventions for adolescents (12-18 years old) with mental health difficulties.. This project looks to examine components, mechanisms of action, and outcomes of creative arts psychotherapy intervention in the population of young people with mental health difficulties. The project will focus on interventions currently employed within NHS children and adolescent mental health services. We will develop an effective and accessible logic model for creative arts psychotherapy intervention with this population, to inform ongoing arts psychotherapy practice and policy.
