Understanding support-seeking for mental health difficulties among caregivers of people with Huntington's disease

Project Description

Huntington’s disease (HD) is a life-limiting neurodegenerative illness which causes significant mental health difficulties among both people with the condition and indirectly among their caregivers. Mental healthcare for HD caregivers is extremely limited and caregivers often do not access support. This PhD project will quantify the degree of MH difficulties among HD caregivers, qualitatively explore experiences of accessing support, and seek to develop new resources to provide support.
