Spotlight on Madiha Majid: Championing Inclusive Research at ENMESH 2024

We are proud to celebrate Madiha Majid, one of our exceptional PhD students, who recently delivered an oral presentation at the prestigious European Network for Mental Health Service Evaluation (ENMESH) Conference in Versailles, France, on 6th July 2024.

Madiha’s presentation, titled:
“Use of Participatory Methods in People with Intellectual Disability,”
highlighted her commitment to inclusive, person-centred research and showcased how participatory approaches can reshape the way we engage with people who have intellectual disabilities in both research and service design.

The ENMESH Conference is a leading platform in Europe for advancing mental health service evaluation. Bringing together international researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, the event provides a space for sharing innovations that can drive real-world improvements in mental health care.

To be invited to present at ENMESH is a significant achievement and a testament to the impact and quality of Madiha’s research.

Madiha Majid continues to push boundaries with her research — not only through rigorous academic inquiry but also through a clear ethical commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices. Her work is helping redefine what meaningful involvement looks like in mental health research and has important implications for how we co-design services that are inclusive, respectful, and effective.

We are incredibly proud of Madiha’s contribution to ENMESH 2024 and look forward to seeing her continued impact in the field of inclusive mental health research.
