In an extraordinary flip of perspective, Denisse Levermore invites us to view society through the eyes of the youngest and often overlooked member; the baby. Her piece, “Through the Lens of the Baby: Cherish Me and Value My Parents: A Call to Society,” published as part of the University of Warwick 2025 Society & Culture Spotlight PGR & ECR Writing Competition, gently yet powerfully urges us to recognize and uphold the interwoven dignity of both infants and their caregivers.
Being selected among the published entries is no small feat. The competition invited submissions from postgraduate and early career researchers across Warwick, provided mentorship, culminated in publication, and was celebrated at a highlight event on the 23rd June 2025. Denisse’s inclusion reflects both creativity and academic excellence.
Congratulations, Denisse Levermore, for crafting an unforgettable narrative that champions both the newborn and the nurturer, compelling us all to look, listen, and act with deeper compassion.
